| Classes M. C. Classical Productions offers dance classes from pre-school level to professional and adult level. Our core programs are ballet. It is the most structured dance form and provides a basis for other dance forms. Our ballet classes are graded according to age and ability and each ballet level fulfills its own syllabus. Class offerings include: Pre-Ballet (Nursery Rhyme Dance Time) Classical Ballet Pointe Technique Adult Ballet In addition we offer special programs including: Adult classes: Our adult classes consist of adult students who received a dance education as a youth and wish to continue learning and performing, and adult students that are new to dance and want to learn dance in an environment of their peers. Many of our adult dancers participate in M. C. Classical Productions performances but some just participate for the physical and cultural benefits. Pre-ballet: These classes are an early start in the dance education of children. Our ballet dance classes usually begin at age 2-3 1/2 and are taught by professional dance instructors, not student dancers. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dress Code Core Ballet All girls must wear light pink tights and pink leather or canvas ballet slippers or pointe shoes. Leotard colors are listed below. Dress code is strictly enforced. After two violations a student will be asked to leave the classroom. |
Boys wear black tights or shorts, white T-shirts, white socks and ballet shoes. All warm-up attire must be appropriate dancewear not streetwear. Adults may wear any color leotard and tights. Pink ballet shoes are required. Hair must be securely pinned away from the face and neck. Long hair must be put into a bun and short hair confined with a hair band. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Studio Rules Students are expected to conform to the rules and to maintain the standards of their class level, which include good attendance and a positive, courteous attitude in class. Undisciplined, disruptive or discourteous behavior will not be tolerated and the student will be expelled from class. All classes begin promptly. Students are expected to be dressed and ready to start class on time. Latecomers not only disturb the class, but subject themselves to injury due to insufficient warm-up. Students who are more than ten minutes late may be refused entry. We recommend that all clothing and shoes be clearly labeled. The studio is not responsible for lost items. |
